Title: Mee-Bar
Medium: Acrylic on canvas
Size: 102 × 71cm
Mee-Bar celebrates the journey of saltwater turtle hatchlings as they make their first trek across the sand toward the ocean.
While navigating across the sand, the little mee-bar map the beach so they can return to the same spot over the coming decades.
The white concentric circles represent the Seven Sisters - also known as the Pleiades - guiding the turtles to chart a course between land and sea, and ultimately find their way home again.
This original artwork comes stretched with a wire across the back. The 4cm deep sides are painted antique white.
Signed on the back by the artist, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
Ready to hang.
